Stephen Lucas

Principal Solicitor

Stephen Lucas is the Principal Solicitor of Kingston Lawyers.

He commenced practise in 1995 and has enjoyed a successful career in law.

Stephen commenced work as a sole proprietor in 1997 at age 22.

Lombard and Associates General Practice

Tetley McNamara and Murphy

Lucas Lawyers

and then founding Kingston Lawyers in 2011.

During this time Stephen has practised in most areas of dispute resolution in commercial, criminal and private law including family law.

Stephen acts as a barrister and solicitor and has been involved in many hundreds of matters in a successful career.

Stephen has also mentored many young lawyers and has had numerous articled clerks and supervised trainee lawyers who have been admitted to the Supreme Court.

Stephen has published articles on Corporations Law, Family Law and Wills Law.

Stephen is active in the community providing pro bono advice to a number of worthy charities.

Outside of law Stephen enjoys spending time with his wife Kim and their three children.

Stephen enjoys most sports and reading case law and history.

Jonathan Devenish <h5 class="single-subtitle"><a href="" target="_blank"> <img src="" alt="LawTap" width="149" height="36" /> </a></h5>

Jonathan Devenish

Associate Lawyer

Jonathan has had extensive experience in commercial litigation and criminal law.

Prior to joining Kingston Lawyers, Jonathan worked both as a commercial litigator, and as a prosecutor with the ACT Director of Public Prosecutions.

His experience includes acting as Instructor to Counsel Assisting in a Coronial Inquest, working on secondment as a litigation lawyer with the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Agency (ASADA), as an intern at Legal Aid Indonesia in Yogyakarta, and as a contributor to Oxford University Press ‘Oxford Reports on International Law’.

He is an ongoing advisor to Transparency International Australia and has been a director of a public company.

Kevin is a former litigator for the State Government and now a consultant lawyer to Kingston Lawyers. In a career spanning more than thirty years he brings a wealth of experience and expertise particularly in the areas of commercial litigation and dispute resolution. Kevin also practices in Wills and Probate.

Angela Richards

Conveyancing Manager

Angela is Kingston Lawyers’ conveyancing expert with over 25 years of experience. She joined the Kingston Lawyers team in 2013 bringing with her a wealth of knowledge in residential, sub-division and off-the-plan transactions.

Angela understands that buying and selling your home or property can be stressful and will be with you every step of the way to ensure that your settlement goes smoothly.

Angela’s leadership and can-do attitude is not only displayed in the office but also on the netball court where she volunteers as Coach and Team Manager for the Assumption Netball Club on the weekends.  Angela also enjoys Cardio Tennis and eating out with family and friends.

Client Services Manager

Kim is our client services manager. It is her role to ensure that your dealings with the firm meet your requirements.

Kim is a qualified family dispute resolution practitioner having successfully completed the Graduate Diploma of Family Dispute Resolution in 2014. Kim also holds a Diploma in Counselling and a Management qualification.

Outside of law Kim performs charity work and is busy raising three children with her husband Stephen.

Brianna is currently completing a Bachelor of arts aspiring to transfer into a Bachelor of Law at Deakin University. She has a keen interest in the law and how it interacts and functions in society, she wishes to expand her knowledge and understanding of the law. Brianna is our Executive Assistant and works closely with our team of lawyers and assists with administrative duties at the firm.

Brianna enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. She has a keen interest in traveling and immersing herself in different cultures in particular her Hispanic background.

Bec Cleary

Rebecca (Bec) Cleary

Rebecca is currently completing a double degree comprising of a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts at Monash University. Rebecca has a keen interest in criminal law and is enthusiastic about expanding her knowledge into new areas of law.

Rebecca has an interest in the cultures and histories of countries around the world, and is looking forward to experiencing these things in her travels around Europe later this year. In her spare time at university, Rebecca volunteers with Embrace Education tutoring, and the Monash University branch of Amnesty International.

In her spare time, Bec enjoys spending time at the beach and with her family and dog.
