Meet Stephen Lucas, the Principal Solicitor of Kingston Lawyers. He commenced practise in 1995 and has enjoyed a successful legal career. Stephen commenced work as a sole proprietor in 1997 at age 22. Stephen then acquired various firms including:

Kingston Lawyers was founded on the belief that a law firm should be long standing and enduring beyond the retirement of lawyers. Kingston Lawyers now holds more than 10,000 Wills and important documents for clients.
During his career Stephen has practised in most areas of dispute resolution in commercial, criminal and private law including family law. Stephen acts as a barrister and solicitor and has been involved in many hundreds of matters in a successful career.
Stephen has enjoyed mentoring many young lawyers some of whom now hold very senior legal positions. Stephen has published articles on Estate Planning, Family Law, Commercial and Wills Disputes. Stephen is active in the community providing pro bono advice to a number of worthy charities.
Outside of law Stephen enjoys spending time with his family. Stephen enjoys most sports and also reading case law and history.

Meet Senior Associate Jake Harris, an integral member of the Kingston Lawyer’s team since January 2019, offering expertise in Wills, Probate and Estate Planning and Estate Management. Jake has also competently handled many Court cases involving Will disputes.
Jake holds a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Arts from Deakin University, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law.
Jake brings to our team a detail-oriented and analytical approach. His methodical approach to practice ensures structured and dependable guidance in legal matters. What distinguishes Jake is his commitment to understanding each client’s unique circumstances, and providing advice that is not only technically sound but also empathetically delivered, ensuring a stress-reduced process for his clients. Jake maintains a courteous and respectful disposition, focusing on the timely resolution of legal matters with an awareness that attaining positive outcomes is often of the essence.
Meet Solicitor James Shannon. With a substantial background in financial services, James strengthens the Kingston Lawyers team with a commercial perspective. His approach is centered on providing practical solutions promptly, effectively serving the firm’s diverse clientele.
James completed a Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Arts at Charles Darwin University, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law. Throughout his studies, he obtained broad experience with large city law firms and a small regional firm.
When not practicing law, James fancies himself as quite the oratorical coach of a local Under 10s football team.
Meet Mariah Tiganis, our solicitor who has completed a Bachelor of Arts (Politics and Literature)/Bachelor of Laws at the Australian Catholic University, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at Leo Cussen Centre for Law. Mariah has a financial services background and has an interest in litigation and family law which she hopes to expand her knowledge on.
Mariah was born in the United States, is of Greek and Chilean descent, and is able to read, write and speak basic Greek. She is hoping to teach herself Spanish in the future. Mariah enjoys baking, reading fantasy fiction novels and spending time with her family during her down time.
Meet Angela Richards, Kingston Lawyers’ Conveyancing expert with over 25 years of experience. She joined the Kingston Lawyers team in 2013 bringing with her a wealth of knowledge in residential, commercial and off-the-plan transactions.
Angela understands that buying and selling your home or property can be stressful and will be with you every step of the way to ensure that your electronic settlement is smoothly completed.
Angela’s leadership and positive attitude is not only displayed in the office but also on the tennis court. Angela also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Assistant Conveyancing Manager
Meet Lori Weare, our Assistant Conveyancing Manager who has come to us with 22 years of experience as a conveyancer in both legal and conveyancing settings. Lori can assist you with all your property transactions and support you through what may seem like an overwhelming and stressful period, with her positive and friendly demeanour.
Outside of work, Lori is a devoted mother to her two children, Sienna and Tahj. Lori enjoys spending her free time running, paddle boarding and jet-skiing.

Meet Tiffany Yeo, a recent graduate of a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting from Monash University. Tiffany initially joined Kingston Lawyers as a Trainee Solicitor in 2021 lockdowns, eagerly absorbing the knowledge and skills that have prepared her for her current role as a graduate lawyer. Tiffany is excited to continue and advance her legal career under the guidance and supervision of our Principal Stephen Lucas.
Tiffany’s education in both law and commerce has given her a distinctive perspective in legal matters, allowing her to approach cases with a comprehensive understanding that integrates both legal and commercial dimensions. This balance of skills has already proven to be an asset in her budding career, especially as she navigates the complex landscapes of Commercial Law, an area where she has developed a pronounced interest. Tifanny is approachable, friendly, and dynamic in her style of practise and is a very well-liked and dependable member of our team.
Beyond her engagement in law, Tiffany enjoys the enrichment that comes from traveling and exploring different cultures, alongside cherishing the moments spent with family and friends.

Meet Katarina Martinic, a diligent professional steadily making her mark in the realm of criminal law.
Katarina graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Laws with Honours, and a Bachelor of Arts where she majored in Criminology and Human Rights.
She has undertaken one year of supervised practise under our Principal Stephen Lucas.
In anticipation of admission, Katarina has actively broadened her expertise to encompass critical areas in criminal law, with notable experience handling cases involving IVOs, family violence, and sexual assault matters. Being multilingual with fluency in Polish and Croatian, she can communicate effectively with a diverse clientele, bringing a rich understanding and a personalized approach to her role.
What stands out in Katarina’s approach is her innate empathy and understanding, a trait grounded in her diverse background and refined through extensive experience in customer service roles. She is adept at tailoring her services to meet the specific needs of each client, ensuring a pleasant and sympathetic demeanor that fosters trust and understanding.
Outside the courtroom, Katarina embraces a healthy lifestyle through tennis and has a penchant for exploring new places, a personal touch that amplifies her understanding and respect for diverse cultures and perspectives.
Meet Natalie Lenwood, our Trainee who is currently completing a double degree of a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Anthropology, minoring in Psychology) at Monash University. Natalie is looking forward to gaining valuable experience in all aspects of the legal field, as well as developing important skills for her future legal career. Despite being her first experience working in the legal profession, Natalie has worked in the hospitality industry for the past 6 years, and hopes to bring her customer service and communication skills to the role. Outside of work, Natalie enjoys playing netball, drinking coffee and spending time with friends and family.
Meet Andrew Tiganis, our Trainee who is currently completing a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) as well as a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Philosophy) at Monash University. Andrew has a keen interest in legal technology and hopes to expand his knowledge in the legal field.
In his spare time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family and engaging with Melbourne’s Greek-Australian community. He is also an avid supporter of the Collingwood Football Club!
Meet Sanjana Malewar, our Trainee who is currently completing a double degree of a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University. Having had some volunteering experience in criminal law, Sanjana is eager to expand her knowledge of all other aspects of the legal field and refine her legal skills. She hopes to bring a compassionate approach to the law and help vulnerable groups navigate their way through the justice system. Sanjana hopes to apply her customer service and communication skills developed through her extensive experience in the hospitality and retail industries.
Sanjana’s passion is travelling, she hopes to visit each continent by the age of 30. In her spare time, Sanjana also enjoys doing yoga, bouldering, snowboarding and cooking for her friends and family. Originally from Geelong, Sanjana is an avid Geelong Cats supporter!
Meet Tali Miller, our Trainee who is currently completing a Double Degree of a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Property and Real Estate at Deakin University. Looking to diversify her experience in all sectors of the Law, Tali is eager to grow her knowledge and skills to explore where her potential specialty area is. With her previous experience in hospitality management and executive assistance, Tali is keen to apply her admin and customer service skills to her role, bringing a level of understanding to clients through her background in support work.
Outside of work Tali is an aunty to two nieces and a nephew, and loves spending time with her growing family.
